Pee Wee Crayton: Early Hour Blues 1983-84 CD 1999

Pee Wee Crayton was an icon and pioneer of modern Blues guitar. With inspiration from Jazz legend Charlie Christian and lessons from T-Bone Walker.

Crayton helped define the emerging West Coast blues scene and electric Blues guitar, and became and patriarch of both. This CD represents the best of his last recording, produced by Rod Piazza in 1983 and 1984. Early Hour Blues showcases the deepest and most jumping Blues from Pee Wee's final two albums and serves to reaffirm the greatness of a vital and dazzling artist.
